Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Its great that you have a device that monitors your heart so closely and I hope its worth whatever price was paid! (Thanks for the stock tip about Medtronics their stock price is $63.34 at the moment!)
Hope you are doing well and your AF has subsided substantially.
Take care,

I hear it will soon be done in the doc office I am not sure why a hospital stay was needed in the first place, I am guessing because it is still new?
Mine uploads every night IF there is something to send, if nothing is sent in a two week period then it will summon you to upload. So far I have had that happen three times, took me a bit to figure out why the thing lit up lol
ATP I did move my wireless stuff to another room they say at least 10 feet is needed for no interference.
My AFIB seems to have clamed down. I guess the anxiety over the trip to Venice really kicked it off. Since I have been back, either I haven't had episodes. or they have been very short (10 minutes). I hope it stays away -g-
Its difficult for us to comprehend also
Glad to hear your AF really has settled down a lot! Good for you! I hope it stays that way for you, too!
Daisy Ive read a bunch of stuff about electro-smog . Sometimes you just dont know what to believe but I guess its better to move the electric things away to get a good nights sleep! I have not sure it really has helped though (must be those darn beta blockers!).
Take care,
atp
Thanks very much for sharing the info with us. Even with insurance, it sounds expensive.
Without insurance, usually you can negotiate the price with the providers. Almost all providers have prices with-insurance and without-insurance. Based on my experience, prices without-insurance are usually cheaper or the same as the contracted price with insurance companies.
Since I have high deductible, I usually negotiate the price of a service and I pay without-insurance price, which is even cheaper than the contracted insurance price. The retail price isusually very inflated. I am NOT sure why.
So, always there is a way :-) You just have to ask.
I think the providers like the cash because they get their money right away without going through all the red tape and waiting for the insurance company to pay them. That is my experience.
