Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I just finished a 2 dosages of z-pack. The doc and I discussed it as I had taken if a while back without incident. Maybe I should not take it again....

As a side effect, some antibiotics alter heart rhythm... even though that is not it's function. So how does a little rhythm pill affect a heart rhythm, or a little rate drug... how does that slow your heart rate?
