Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I have a question for all of you who had afib ablation.
I had an ablation performed on the 17 Feb 16 for afib. I was told that after the procedure to take it easy for 10 days or so and gradually return to my normal routine of exercise and working.
You must understand that I have been living with PVCs here and there for the past 30 years. However I noted that immediately following my ablation I saw on the monitor beside my bed that I had PVCs at a rhythm of about 2 or 3 a minute (sometimes less).
As I was taking it easy at home the PVCs were less frequent by the day like 2 or 3 and hour and zippo that I could feel at night. So, no more afib and next to no more PVCs/PACs. What a dream come true. So like an idiot I started to exercise with my new heart after 2 weeks and God it was going easy so I ran more an faster but realised that after I ran as I was recuperating I found that I was having many PVCs...like 4 to 7 a minute and it would last for an hour or so after the workout.
FYI - I'm not a good runner but I was walking on my treadmill for 30 Min at 3 to 3.5 mph with 7% incline then 30 min 4 to 4.5 mph 0% incline. Total of about 1 hours. I guess what is too much for some is not enough for others. So it is difficult to say if it was really due to the exercise but I thing it was.
I imagine that I simply over did it and now every time I exercise or eat a meal (not necessarily a big one) I get many palps for about one hour after the meal or after exercise. Other than that nothing.
Could it be that maybe I started too fast or too hard and it has irritated my heart which has not yet fully heal, and maybe because my heart is now irritated it works harder and it causes me PVCs.....what do you thinks?
No sure, I did read that it is normal to have many PVCs for quite a long period after an ablation...like weeks or even months.
Never the less, it is a great improvement in comparison to before. But still I would like you guys who underwent afib ablation (PVI) to let me know on how did it go down and what was your experiences.

I think you overdid it. If you are very concerned, talk to someone in your EP's office. They usually have someone there to ease you through the post ablation anxieties. If its something to worry about, they will have you come in.
I don't think I've ever had a PVC or a PAC and not sure I'd know what it would feel like if it happened.
