I think I have mentioned that I get an ectopic beat now and again. Of course it bugs me. Dr. Calkins indicated that ablation doesn't take care of these extra beats, but they aren't afib, so no real reason to worry...I have tried the magnesium supplements, astaxanthin, Taurine and L-Argenine. I have read entries on this and the stopafib site by various people who have tried these supplements, and they worked for them. Could just be the heightened self awareness that comes from having suffered through afib. So, my acupuncturist, who treats my heart meridians, today attached some magnets near my wrist. I will let you know how this turns out. What can it hurt? I tend to believe that it is just anxiety.."Did I just miss a beat? Quick, let me take my BP for the next half hour!" Ugh. Maybe if I just believe hard enough. Of course, that method has failed me with respect to winning the lottery. What do you think Petey? Is trying magnets better than eating dirt? Err...bentonite?

P.S. I realize that there are many many of you out there that would trade afib for the occasional ectopic beat ANY day. Just throwing it out there.
