Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
It is good news, and that is why some of us get so frustrated...like me, that just got ablated but the root cause has not yet been identified. This tells me that once my PVI ablation which was done last month and still having tons of ectopic beats, new fibroses pathways will be created and my afib will for sure come back in no time. I'm living it right now!!
These experts are saying that they are in the process of proving that lone afib is a myth. There is always a precursor. They need to spend more time to find it of course with the help of their patients.

You are so right, that does say 2015, I guess that mitigates the argument that we need to rush into ablation because of the risk of remodeling. We know know that it can be reversed.
