There should be more done to cure this instead of giving out pills. I personally think the doctors should do more to get people with AF off drugs. I don't think there is one drug that is NOT dangerous.

It sometimes feels like the pharmaceuticals are leading the doctors. Has anyone noticed that in the add for Pradaxa, there is a note that says all the doctors are compensated.

I know this doesn't help with an answer for you, I just couldn't help myself.

I never noticed that note but I'll keep an eye out for it. At least they're required to put that note in there now.
I know sometimes you just can't help yourself, you got to say what's on your mind.

I've been on several afib drugs with lots of side effects. I've been on Multaq since the end of March and feel fine. I don't have permanent afib, the last episode was fultter and was cured with a cardioversion. I called my doc when the study came out and I'm on it for at least a year if nothing else happens. Recently my heart rate dropped from the mid 80's to low 30's in the morning and throughout the day. I've been take off blood pressure pills which I've been on for 6 years an left on Multaq. This has freaked me out the first few days but so far so good, blood pressure is fine, heart rate is in the 40's early morning and late afternoon, but otherwise feel wonderful. Multaq may just be a temporary pill for you until after the cardioversion and I don't think the side effects are nearly as bad as all the others.

Thanks, I feel better. I havn't horrible side effects yet, just a more forceful heartbeat and sometimes some chest pessure but not as bad as other meds. I'm so sensitive to these meds but sometimes I think it's just apprehension.
