Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
I took Metoprolol 50mg.2x day

All were the same for me.....they zoned me.
I slept better than I had slept for Yrs. I loved that part!!!!!
I mustt say that the support group boards (I am only on this one and stopafib.org) have provided such great info on several fronts. First with the Metoprolol and the sleep issues (I went from sleeping like a log to waking up 3 and 4 times a night after going on the met). So nice to see it wasn't just me. Now recently, I have noticed that after I eat a meal (too quickly or too much, which seems to be my only two options, being a pig), my heart rate increases and I feel quite uncomfortable. Being a worrier, I would just assume naturally that the afib is coming back AND I am having a stroke. But TONS of info recently on afib.org about the tummy/heart connection, and how many people are having the same issues. THANK YOU ALL for providing your personal experiences with the drugs and other issues. So much help to so many. Now, please send along the info that a CURE for afib has been found! NSR to all!
