I can't help you with Bystolic info. But, I would like to say....it is amazing how different we are with the effects of meds.

Metoprolol never did keep me out of AF....when I took it 2x a day, or the the extended time pill...I still had episodes.

It does not convert me ever..I take it as PIP.

I can only second what yogacat said. I, too have only taken metoprolol and it neither kept me out of a-fib nor converted me. It slowed down my heart rate to acceptable, along with a flair-up of Raynauds when I first started it (thats where your finger tips turn white blood circulation thing) and gave me diarrhea the first 6 weeks taking it along with nightmares fairly regularly. I am now taking Sotalol which doesnt seem to be keeping me out of a-fib either but has slowed down my heart rate a notch, no nightmares (as of yet) no Raynauds but I am cold a lot (but, hey, it is winter and we do have a fireplace).

I dont take bystolic so I cant comment on that, sorry.

Why are you switching beta blockers? Did you have (are you having) problems with the metoprolol other than being tired?

Exhausted and some itching that seems to come and go. Funny it has not bothered my Raynaurd's. I have not picked up the new rx and may just stay where I am at as I was a little confused after reading reviews.

My scalp started itching after I started taking Marcumar (similar to Warfarin, a vitamin K antagonist). Nothing drastic, just itching, thats all, not like a mosquito bite where you cant stop scratching. Are you taking Warfarin or a NOAC as a blood thinner? Maybe thats the problem there. Exhaustion can certainly come from beta blockers.

Eliquis, never thought it could be the problem. It is the only blood thinner I have tried.

I have never taken Eliquis but looked up the side effects. Google: eliquis side effects itching. You will see that it is one. So, it may or may not be the culprit.

And here I spent most of my life taking meds only on the rare occaision......just too overwhelming! Now I take more than my 87 yr. old Mom, if I wasn't afraid of strokes and heart beat of 135 I would just throw in the towel.

Bystolic (Nevibolol) is a beta blocker as are the other drugs mentioned that end in "lol". They all work about the same. They only are supposed to lower heart rate (and blood pressure) although they help some convert. But they are used for rate control in afib. I take Bystolic. No problems. petey

Metoprolol wiped me out, made me depressed and made anxiety worse when I was switched to Bystolic the difference was like night and day, no problems at all with it.

Yes it is! It is a 2007 Dyna Low Rider, I am just waiting for the antidote for the Eliquis so I can get back on it lol! I so miss it!
