I am not familiar with the book. I am suspect of the reviews I saw, they look like sweat shop write ups. I use up to date for a lot of general searching. Very reputable, we use it at the hospital I work at. Drawback is it is usually very technical. I still think google is a great friend, and try to limit my research to resources hosted by educational and professional establishments, I am admitting that I am kind of an information snob. I am pretty certain there are no hidden breakthroughs in it, even if it shows it was updated this year. It looks an awful lot like some Chinese based certification resources I used to have to wade through to find the real thing. No guarantee on my opinion. Hope things are going well for you.

I find I can keep current by staying on Daily Strength reading many internet artciles (esp. one from Mayo Clinic and reputible sources) and asking my doctor.

I have it and it isn't as up to date as what is on the web. I downloaded it last year (also got a hardcopy) and read it once. Afib treatment is evolving, as you know, and there are theories and various "associations" or possible causes... this book won't really give you anything that you can't find yourself. It IS outdated. With all we have learned, all that matters is what works for you.

I have gotten more information from this site than I could from a book and sometimes even from the doctors.

We are fortunate enough to have a "resident" researcher, Petey, and he keeps us well informed. We have the discussions and questions from so many, and if you have AF long enough, you will realize that no 2 people have in the same way, nor are they treated the same. Everyone brings something different to the "table".

I just mentioned you 3... there are so many people on this site that give people inspiration... even when their experience was below their expectations.

The new people like surfrat and Islandluvr (I think that was the person... can't place the name with the tree picture)... your accounts of the ablations were unbelievable, or as they say in New Jersey... Un-freakin-believable!

We have nurses, surfers, business people, weight lifters, kung fu people, vegens, yoga enthusiasts, researchers, athletes... we have it all!
