Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
nature made magnesium 400 mg and also mega red 500 mg omega 3 krill oil
so what do you guys think
Make sure you Dr knows about the krill oil, should have your INR watched closely. Fish oil can raise INR.
My doctor says that magnesium relaxes your muscles, including your throat muscles. He thinks that the magnesium before bed caused a sleep apnea reaction... an obstruction which triggered the afib.

They claim 100% absorption. I use a 'pill-in-pocket' approach and my pill is 300mg Rythmol. Normally it may take 3 hours to get out of afib but last time I put a 1/2 teaspoon of pico-magnesium under my tongue and took the Rythmol and was ok after 1 hour.
By the way, did y'all see my post on high blood iron being a contributing factor in afib? My ferritin was 1350, or 27 times normal . The condition is called Hemochromatosis. Now that I'm getting the iron reduced (plebotomy every week) the afib episodes have dramatically reduced also and the usual triggers - don't, (at least the little experiments I tried so far).
Which of the 3 products do you use and how much per month? Also, I looked up Hemochromatosis. Approximately 1.55% of the population has it. I had never heard of it before. Can you tell us how/why you got tested for it? I have had comprehensive blood tests... tell me which one was used. I'm pretty sure my iron was tested but I'll have to make sure. Thanks for the info.
