Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I hate to bother you with this story, but this IS a support group, right? So, two nights ago I am having this very vivid dream (no, not THAT kind, you pervs!)...I am in the liquor store, but there is nobody behind the lottery machine. So I go back to play a number, 384, but cannot figure out how the machine works. I hear this disembodied voice saying, "Don't play that number, play the second row of numbers on your phone!" So, when I woke up yesterday, I wrote down 384 and 456 (check your phones!), intending to play them. Got home at 2PM, worked out, the wife came home and wanted to take a nap before we went out...so we head out about 6, go to the Giant to shop, then hit Gino's for dinner. Then off to the liquor store to buy my numbers. We get there at 8PM (the drawing is at 7:56), so I said "Give me 384 and 456, $1 straight, $1 box for a week." They guys says "Geez, if you had been here 5 minutes earlier, 456 just hit! I was SO ticked off, I couldn't sleep last night! Even at just $1/$1, that would have been a $580 hit. So I slept about 4 hours...of course, losing this money isn't worth having a darn stroke, so I have to get over it. But geez! AAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!!

P.S. If the voice ever comes back and says "Play these numbers for the $300 million Big Game or Powerball", I will run to the store at 8AM!!!!!!! Sigh

Gee whiz, you are making me feel BAD! Of course, the worst part is, you are absolutely 100% correct! I have a wonderful life, wonderful wife, so why worry about a few bucks? And I am already looking forward to Uncle Sugar sending me to Montpellier next May..incroyable!

I have heard that is a GREAT Movie, so will look for it on NETFLIX. See if I can squeeze it in between the corny Hallmark Christmas movies this weekend...last weekend was a tough one..they almost lost the North Pole cuz of people losing faith in Christmas..thank goodness they were able to save the holiday at the last minute!

The Chief who decides where we go for these classes did a semester abroad in Montpellier back in the early 80s, and she wanted to return there...several of us had asked about Belgium or Switzerland, but as they say "C'est bon d'etre la reine!" And she is la reine, so she chooses. I LOVED playing the French lottery...1-49, and they pay something like $9 for having only TWO numbers! Here we have to get 3 out of 75, and then they only give you $5! I did try lotto Europe, but mostly stuck with Lotto France. "flash" is the French word for "random pick." I know all the taxpayers on this site are THRILLED that I immerse myself in French culture while I am there! Bon Chance with the Swiss lottery!
