Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Unless you're very wealthy or have work for an amazing company no one can afford this kind of coverage. Hence, (IMO) you take/get what you can.
The whole subject of health care seems to be a very sensitive issue here on DS. In the U.S., it's been debated since FDR's administration and that was a wicked loooooong time ago.
However, the Orthopedic Surgeon I was referred to is not. My cost to see him is $500.00 out of pocket.
I have put off seeing him, because my home care routine is keeping pain to a minimum. PCP agreed, I don't need to see him....yet.
Having a heart that beats right is not very useful if I have to live in a cardboard box.
