Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Been a while since I posted. Still on warfarin and 150mg Atenolol a day. Been on the beta blocker about 20 years now. I have paroxysmal afib, it just gets a bit wild, seems to be reentrant, and I can jump from 70 beats a minute, to about 220-260 BPM. I have had it for 48 years now.
I have had a bit of an immune thing going on for a bit, and now have psoriasis and probably psoriatic arthritis. Does anyone else here have psoriasis? Just trying to see of there is a commonality.
P.S. I hope everyone is doing well. I am back in university, nice to have a goal.

Glad to hear that you have a new goal and you are going back to university! To me, it's always exciting when I start a new goal because I feel alive again. I wanted to ask how you tolerate warfarin. Do you have to take a blood test every month to monitor the levels? Does it make feel any different? Does it restrict anything in your diet?
48 years is quite a time to deal with Afib. Does it get easier to deal with? I go through such an emotional and mental roller coaster that it drives me crazy. I pray your psoriasis is treated quickly!
