Hi Shanny.....Thats an ace inhibitor....do you need treatment for High Blood Pressure ? Do you know what your resting heart rate usually is ? Since I have been on Flecainide my heart rate is almost always around 49-52 at rest and goes into the 60's when Im working....when I exercise I make sure to keep it under 120 and that isnt very hard to do :) I cant remember if or what anti arrythmic you are on but if you are I would look to that for a heart rate change more than the BP med but you can certainly call the Dr and tell them you are worried about the low pulse, for me it's fine. I thought we had you calmer and doing better.........Next week at this time it will all be over and you will be recovering and doing fine !!!! Best......jan

Just wanted to ask if you feel ok with the lower heart rate? If you don't feel light headed or very fatigued then I wouldn't be too concerned.
My heart rate is usually about 60 and that is fine for me.

I have a heart rate of 49-56, 62 when power walking. I had surgery this past summer without any problem. If it drops too low they have a whole host of meds to raise it.

thanks everyone, jan i am so looking forward to next week and it all being over and I'm home again...saw my dr today and she said i should drop the metoprolol down a bit lower to 25mg instead of 50mg..i feel fine with the low heart rate...was just getting myself all worked up again...hope they give me some happy juice when i get to the hospital...or even in the car park...hahhhhahhahahah only kidding...again thank you everyone so much..u are keeping me sane

sorry jan forgot to answer a question...yes my blood pressure started rising a couple of months ago so they put me on the perindopril
