Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

what is the best and easy to use and set up in the above two categories .

unfortunately i dont trust my docs as much as i do this site or even the nurses here are better qualified then the docs .

I"m still looking for the 'best one.' Talked to my dr office just put me back on a 'mini-Holter' for the next 2 -3 weeks. They were unaware of the Omron and others... and had no recommendation.

Recently read that the Omron did NOT come with the software to take it off the machine and display on your PC. On e review said it did not capture the p-wave very well, which is what we need for AFIB.

Peteycap, is that right?

If i procrastinate enough, I'll get the iCARD for my ANDRIOD phone.

Very interested in your comments. I am also interested in purchasing a ECG monitor but want to be sure I'm buying the right one. There are some interesting reviews by purchasers on Amazon but none really seem to come out on top.

I'll be very interested in the type you purchase and your thoughts on it.

Send me the review... if it is just a perso, they probably dont realize they are in afib and no P wave means afib. FYI, it captures the P wave for my wife, but not me. I get wavy lines where the P wave should be. It saves everything, so you don't need the software. I also have a chines ECG that has software. I don't like it as much.
