Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I went for my 4 month checkup after my 2 cardiac ablation and my doctor finally told me my EKG looks BEAUTIFUL! I have been feeling normal for about a month now. Only about 1 episode of afib/atach. Still having some CHF symptoms but they told how I can help with that.
**Did you know that you can go to any fire station to get them to do an EKG if your having an episode, and need proof, an get a print out to take to doctor?**

I have had my bp taken at fire station to compare my bp monitor readings, but the ekg is news to me. TY!!
