Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Went to Dr the other day - good check up - no afib 6 months but I still have to take the warfarin! oh well - the tikosyn is doing its job so I will endure the few side affects of rash and headaches lol

No afib for 6 mos. that is Wonderful!! Nice that your check up was good!!!

I am 4 mos NSR and still take 2 Pradaxa every day.

It sure would be nice to have PIP for anticoagulants !!!

That is awesome, I am so happy for you! I went for my 3 month check up yesterday and was told I could stop the Tikosyn and Cartia. Kind of scared but won't know unless I try though right?

Daisy - why can you stop the tikosyn? does it fix the problem and you dont have to take it anymore. My Dr will probably have me on all these meds for life! lol

pamdidi, I had an ablation in December, Been 25 days with no drama, he said time to get off and see how it goes, he believes I will be afib free without the Tikosyn. Have to stay on the Eliquis until I get the three week monitor to make sure there is nothing going on that I may not be feeling.

So happy for all of you being a-fib free and having positive check-ups. I would love to try just a PIP for a while to see if it works o.k. I see my cardiologist next month. Right now still struggling with the Shingles.
