It sounds like you have been through a lot and have come out on top. Way to go! The heart is an amazing organ and it sounds like youve have some fantastic doctors helping you also.

AND a-fib is a thing of the past for you!? How did you do that? Did you have an ablation (or two)? Congratulations on no more meds. Reports like this are great for people like me who are still in the maze trying to get out. It gives us hope and assurance that it can and does happen. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the wonderful post. It is always good to be reminded of the God's great power in the healing process. I watch Joel Osteen every Sunday morning (don't worry fellow Catholics, I go to church on Saturday night!), and he always has that wonderful message. The key is to try and remember it AFTER the show ends..and to not let the little "bumps" get you down. Again, thanks for the wonderful post. And yes, please provide more info about the successful ablation, or however you got rid of this terrible affliction.

So good to hear of a success especially when the roads were rocky along the way. Gives hope to others still fighting the battle. And yes,the human body is amazing and it is true about the heart growing new arteries. My other half can attest to that after surviving the widow maker heart attack. A long hauls but he made it and the heart found new ways to get done what needs to be done to keep it going. Just amazing!

Hi again, well I believe I found out I had AF in 2011....and although I didn't suffer from the rapid heartbeats, I did have incredible fatigue and dizziness...enough that I needed to do something about it. The cardiologist I had at the time did a cardioversion, which lasted all of 3 days. He referred me to a Dr. that did ablations. I honestly didn't care for the Dr., but at the time there was no one else here in Boise that did them...so I had one in 2012 I believe. It worked for all of about 4 hr. and poof it was gone. I pretty much swore off another one, as it seemed they just weren't going to work. I changed cardiologists in the meantime, and within a few mo. I was informed by him that we had a new Dr. moving here from Utah who was known for doing ablations with a great success rate. I thought about it, decided I still felt bad enough, and gave it a try. I really liked and trusted this Dr. from the beginning. He did both an ablation for atrial fib and flutter using the robot. I had absolutely no problems afterwards, and as far as I know I have never gone back into A fib. I know I've had a lot of EKG's, and I was in NSR all the time, and have not had the fatigue or dizziness. I thank God every day for that. I think a lot depends on the skill of the Dr. doing the ablation, and I was very fortunate this Dr. moved his practice here. I've heard a lot of success stories from others who he did ablations on. I'm over 2 years out from the ablation, and although I've had other health problems, the heart has remained in NSR. I never took anything but metoprolol 50 mg. bid and the warfarin 2mg. a day while in A fib. I still take metoprolol, as it's very good for the heart. That's my story. I hope and pray for NSR for all of you. I would never hesitate to get another ablation with this Dr., but I hope I never need one. Two years is a pretty good record to remain in NSR. God Bless...Dee

HI Dee, Your update is a helpful testament for folks who have difficulties after their first ablation. We all felt so sorry for the amount of difficulties and stress you had....right away. I remember you hurt so much and had bruises...you we certain they had dropped you.

You spent months renouncing ablations. Not one ounce of success toward NSR. Then all of a sudden news of a new EP gave you Hope. How Wonderful you were able to overcome the problems and Trust your new Dr.

I am thrilled to know you are Afib Free!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
