Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Initial dose: 50 mg orally every 12 hours.
Maintenance dose: May be increased in increments of 50 mg bid every 4 days until efficacy is achieved."
Looks like there is I wide variation in how much they prescribe, steve.

The highest dose of maintenance Flecainide I personallly have come across in my nursing practice is 150mg twice a day

Bp came up to a normal level for me. So now it's no more toprol and only flecainide. NSR to all Rick
