Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Well, I've been checking in here on DS daily since the recent epic battle ended (the one that I totally missed out on)!
Looks pretty civilized around this vicinity - at least for now.
I certainly hope it remains as such, 'cos no one needs the additional stress. Cyber or otherwise.
Could these random trouble makers that appear out of thin air be apart of a larger conspiracy? Possibly staged by a major pharmaceutical entity to inflict more AFIB on unsuspecting forum members?
Highly unlikely - for sure. But, I must admit, the thought has crossed my mind.
A user name such as EB2340, is very un-DS-like. Who knows maybe it's not even a real person but a program some geek wrote to fool people?
Most real DS people have thoughtful and creative names like PinkLover, etc. etc. Names that really mean something!

My fav conspiracy has to do with another Pharma giant G.D. Searle the makers of Aspartame. I am intrigued by the fact that this afib epidemic happened after aspartame become a very popular sweetener.
I am convinced that the big increase in afib is related to the genetically modified food that we eat. Was there such a thing as a gluten allergy 50 years ago? Maybe it did exist and there just wasn't a name for it, or it wasn't "popular." When my Mom got pancreatic cancer, the doc said that it was "rare" when he got into the field 30 years ago, but the numbers are ever increasing. HUGE debate still in Europe over GMOs, but here? Just accept it.
As for Eb, while I check out this site almost daily, when Eb was posting I have to admit, I wanted to see what the latest train wreck would be...how crazy would he be today? kind of thing. I just say, I was really drawn into what he had to say in the beginning, until he blamed Lenny Bias's death on a magnesium deficiency in lieu of the 2 pounds of cocaine he ingested at that frat party.
I had no idea he was actually looney, which seems quite evident from the posts that Petey listed. Oh well, God speed Eb, and hopefully the Christmas spirit struck him...it was happening quite a bit on those Hallmark movies I watched over the Christmas season!
