Hi kcali - Betablockers can do that to you. I felt horrid on them. After a while your fatigue should Level off a bit but if doesn't, tell your EP (or whoever prescribed it to you) and see if you can lower the dosage.

I agree...I was on a beta blocker and was soooo tired and fatigued. I told my Dr. And he switched me to a different one that worked better for me with less side effects. Speak to your Dr to find something that works better for you! Good luck!

I started on a beta blocker and after three months could not take the fatigue. Dr. Put me on a calcium channel blocker and it is better for me. I actually do not even notice side effects.

I'm curious as to the dosage people are taking. I was taking a miniscule dose--12.5 mg; I just upped mine to 25 mg. and notice some fatigue now.

I was given 25mg 2x a day when diagnosed. I was lifeless. Dr. kept reducing the dose, cuz I complained so much. I found taking it daily did not prevent me from having afib for the 4 mos. I took it. So, I got a new dr. who agreed I was fine not taking it daily. I took it for PIP when I got an episode for the most of 5 yrs. I took 25 mg upon onset, and I was fatigued for the day. I used to take Atenolol for HBP and that fatigued me too. I have bradycardia.


Kcali, I hope you are doing well. I think some folks adopt and loose the fatigue, others, like me, just don't handle it well.
