Sorry to hear you are having a rough go right now. It is normal to have Afib early on in the healing process. My ablation was done using heat but I would imagine the resulting disruption of rhythm is very similar. I'm surprised you're not on an antiarrhythmic medication for the first 6-8 weeks to help calm the heart in this early stage of healing. I was on Rhythmol during that time and judging by the episodes I had when I stopped taking it, it must have been working. I was fortunate to have my heart calm down at about 10 weeks and stay completely in rhythm after 12 weeks. My Afib was very bad before the surgery so I was pleasantly surprised that things went so well relatively soon after surgery. Don't be discouraged, you have a lot of healing to do. It was almost 10 months before I felt 100%. Recoveries vary from patient to patient so hang in there. Best wishes.

I had a cyro-ablation 2 years ago, and so far, it's been successful.
Had to go on Multaq for 4 months post ablation. Now the only heart med I take is diltaziem.

My procedure was routine. But I remember feeling fatigued for 4-5 weeks post ablation. My emotions were affected for several weeks, too.
You will get back to normal.

This is such an individual disease! I'm sorry to hear you're still tired after 2 1/2 weeks. My experience has been so much different than yours.

I had a cryoablation on October 15 and so far have only had one 5 to 10 minute period with a premature heartbeat and I started to exercise again a week after the procedure.

Hope things improve quickly for you. Is there any medication they can give you to calm your heart?
