This sounded like a bunch of hooey to me, so I did a little research. Turns out there is something to it, at least in certain studies. Of course, other studies show no correlation between an earlobe crease and heart disease.

Personally, I believe the presence of an earlobe crease is more a sign of aging, which of course goes hand in hand with an increased chance of heart disease.

Regardless, we have far more accurate means to diagnose heart disease these days.

Yeah, it is known as Frank's sign.. Bilateral is theorized to be worse. I don't have it. I think if your name is Frank, it could be even worse. Seriously, having it isn't a death sentence, it is a risk factor at most.

Oh and, there is no theory about afib and ear creases.

There IS a higher chance of afib if you have lines or a red mark on the left side of your chest or your left arm near your biceps.

That is because people with afib are constantly checking their blood pressure and using portable ECGs to check their rhythm and heart rate.

And of course.. I have bilateral.

I did a 23 and me DNA test and it said I have a 35 percent elevated risk of heart disease. Nobody in my entire family has had heart disease. Go figure...

No ear crease for me.
