Gastrointestinal side effects have been reported infrequently. Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, vomiting, and flatulence/bloating have been reported. Gastrointestinal bleed has occurred when warfarin was combined with aspirin for antithrombotic effects after placement of heart valves.

I've been on Warfarin for going on 4 years and have experienced no side effects except occasional bruising. No problem with the monthly tINR testing or dietary Dosage 3mg/day based on my eating habits including lots of salad etc.

I have been taking warfarin/coumadin for 1 1/2 years and I have not experienced any digestive problems or any other issues.

Kcarr I take an anti K antagonist (similar to Coumandin) and have had absolutely NO indigestion problems with it. For most people the problems or nuisances come from the blood tests or problems staying in range. It works very well for me. Important is being anticoagulated because the thing you dont want is a stroke (and a-fibbers are more apt to have stokes than the average bear)!

Thank you all so much for your input. You made me feel better if I have to take it. Since I am diabetic I am used to dealing with blood test and keeping levels so from what you say about the stomach having no problems will be great!
