Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
I have been newly diagnosed and have been on coumadin for since January...blood readings are "perfect" as described by my doctor. I have no side affects. I am looking to adjust my intake of supplements Omega 3s and Coensme Q-10, plus to increase more salads into my diet...all of this can affect blood thickness. More salads is a personal decisions I just feel like eating more salad.
I am discussing this with my doctor.

If you are just starting therapy, might also want to read Scarred Souls by Tracy Alderman. It is a very elementary read, but it has exercises in it to help you understand your SH behaviors which can help start the dialogue with your therapist.
A Bright Red Scream helped me know I'm not crazy. Grateful for this book.
