Tony its my understanding that the person being cardioverted has NO recollection of the procedure itself because you are put under during that time. It is also my understanding that you might or might not have minimum irritation where the stickers were put on your chest and back also. Knowing what happens is good, but dont let it stop you getting one if you need it. I have never had one (watched many youtube videos, though) so this information may need correcting.

As far as ablations and youtube go Ive had two ablations and was awake for both of them. I have also watched probably EVERY youtube video there is about ablations. At first I was a bit wary about the procedure but the more I watched the more interesting and intriguing it became. I was ready for the ablation when the time rolled around! I almost feel sorry for the people who get a GA during this but in the end you have no choice, really, it depends on your EP and how he or she does the procedure. I must say that the individual reports from the people on this site helped a lot, too in learning what to expect in what might or might not happen.

thanks atp and yes im going to have cardioversion ..seeing cardio in saint cloud mn on Nov 18th for consultation..but this site is still the best everyone sure helped me you and paul and yoga and hwk and trav...i could go on with ppl but its been lifesaver for me thanks everyone Tony
