Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

HI

I have AF, had 2 ablations and will possibly have another one.
My question at the moment, can I take Black Cohosh (for the menopause which is giving me terrible health and problems) with warfarin. I take warfarin for my AF and I am despairing of what I can take which will not interact with warfarin which I take for my AF.

Does anyone know please

I don't know if you can take black cohosh with Warfarin, but if you are miserable in menopause, consider stopping soy in any form. I had a miserable time of menopause and for many years afterwards, and it took me a while, but I finally figured out that I was sensitive to soy after I started menopause. It is not unusual and many people are sensitive to soy, but they don't realize it. Just a thought for you. Soy is touted as a wonder food, when in fact it messes with hormones, and can cause a multitude of health problems if the sensitivity is there. Try it. Read labels - as it's in EVERYTHING - and see if you don't feel some relief. You will feel relief in a few days once you stop ingesting it. It may help to a certain degree to stop soy with afib as soy causes inflammation if the sensitivity is there. Hope this helps you.

I had a terrible time with Night Sweats! I don't remember why, but I didn't take Black Cohosh, after researching. I take Pradaxa, but I don't think that had anything to do with it.

I would ask Pharmacist. They are so helpful!!!
