Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Yup, she was...I have not been around a lot lately. My Bp went to 70/55 yesterday! My rate has been in the 40-50's and higher, but my energy has been zilch! I am doing A Lot of novel reading and painting. My apt. for heart monitor is next Wed..(When Ohiofibber gets his Ablation)...and I imagine a PaceMaker is on my list of 'things to do'. Thank you! The low energy thing has been sneaking subtley up on me...I have had less and less energy to do things over this past year of afib...then all of a sudden....wham! I am grateful I got the reading on my monitor!

Happy to hear from you, Carol. I got my event monitor days ago and it has not done a thing yet, nor have I had to record anything, but the little sticky things are annoying. I hope it stays forever quiet. I hope you get feeling better soon.

So sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I haven't checked back in awhile either. Been feeling like passing out and nausea. NOt sure what that is.

Hope you get your BP back up. Maybe you are taking too much of some medicine. Beta blocker??? Ask your doc!!

Thank you Teri, They cut my Lisinopril in half, and that seems to help.

I woke up at midnight today in afib...took my Metoprolol, so I get to be a Zombie today.
