Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Now im getting what feel like short burst of PACS that used to turn into afib but since my ablation it feels like my afib is trying or is starting up and shutting down within seconds. Anybody have this post ablation?
I think that the vast majority of us who had an ablation have these PACS. I am a year out and still having "extra" beats, although thank goodness they have never turned to AFIB. I have read many posts on this site and stopafib.org, and for the vast majority of folks who have had ablations, they eventually disappear. Let's hope we are both in that camp! It is natural to worry though...I think once you have had afib, being super aware of any extra beats is just something that we will have to live with. I have read that some can just ignore it, good for them! Maybe you will be in that lucky group after a time. Best of luck, and try to relax (I know, much easier said than done!)

Let me just also say that several other sufferers of these PACS have suggested a naturopathic approach to helping resolve this issue. Some have had success with magnesium, others with astaxathin (did I spell that correctly?), or Taurine and L-Argenine. You could certainly check into those options. An issue I had, which put me behind in my recovery, was NOT going back to cardiovascular exercise when I was given the ok to do so. I was afraid to do this for fear of the afib coming back, but didn't realize that I was actually hindering my heart's recovery. So when you get the ok from the doc, I would get back into exercise. There are many on this site who exercise regularly, and could probably recommend a regime. Again, best of luck to you, and NSR forever!
