Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I just stumbled on this book. Have any of you read it, and is it going to tell me something I don't know? It has rave reviews on Amazon, but you never know how many of those are for real...

I have it and have read it and found it very informative and beneficial (I was new to anything about a-fib at the time). I highly recommend it. You can get a "flavor" of it by going to his website A-Fib.com

I was wondering if anyone would catch that I didn't say anything about its value... :-)

Nothing I didn't already know (technically). What was good about it is that it gave a personal acount of the various types of afib, how the afibbers were affected, and various cures. Many people's stories were presented.The author's voyage through his afib trip was very enlightening. Very personal. Lots of references.
