Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

My Doc says that aspirin only works on 2/3's of the ;people that take it.
If I had able to take it he would have done a blood test on me to make
sure it was working as it should...

I didint realize that aspirin therapy could be monitored. I am going to ask my doctor about this when I see him. I think knowing how well is is working would give me peace of mind that the aspirin I take each day is doing its job. How do you suppose they monitor the effectiveness of aspirin? Since it is an anti-platelet, I am assuming they monitor by platelet count on blood test? Does anyone know?

I've never heard of this...not sure what test it would be.
I would also be interested in having this checked.
I do think aspirin is working for me because I bruise and bleed alittle easier.

Wow! What a coincidence, I was just reading about this. Verify Now- Aspirin seems to be a popular test requiring the least equipment and has FDA approval:

Many tests have been used to assess the influence
