Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Hi all.....Happy Mothers Day for all those wonderful Moms out there!
My right arm goes completely numb several times a day. I have terrible neuropathy mostly at night that makes life miserable. Other stroke assement tests probe negative..Ive informed my Drs of this but they dont seemed too concerned. Anyone else have this situation where just the arm goes numb? Ive learned not to rush to hospital only to just be watched then released. Im hoping that after the cardioversion maybe this will remedy that. Thanks for any infput. Vinny

I tend to have that problem in both arms, in the evening.... it's called 'truck driver's elbow'.... where you tend to depress the nerves that run through the elbow, and thus cause them to feel numb. In my case, it's usually the outside 2 fingers...
There's something about the way I lay or fold my arms when i sleep.
