Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Hope yours subsides.
So, you can have two separate issues going on. It seems like you would be able to sort out muscle strain if that was causing the pain.
The pain I felt from angina was very subtle and became more pronounce with ANY activity. Walking from my car into the house would cause the 'ice like pain across left side of chest'. It was never a sharp pain or never cramping pain.
I had to really press the cardio office - receptionist - nurse - and anyone who would listen to me. I had to describe my symptoms so many times I started to feel kind of foolish. But, when they made appt ... finally and did the treadmill test .... I only lasted about 45 seconds on the treadmill before they told me to stop and rest. The next week I was in hospital for angiogram and stent.
