Medicare is a separate program from Obamacare. I am sure your insurance has nothing to do with it. Was the PA present for the ablation? Some PA's assist when their physicians are doing surgery or procedures.
In any case....ask the PA your questions. I am sure she can answer most of your questions. There will be a written report of the procedure that would have been dictated by the EP that she should be able to review with you.

I've already met with her once and she said nothing regarding the report. The only question she asked me was "How tall I was"? When I asked her how high my heart rate should go up before I called the office? Her answer was only call if you don't feel well, doesn't matter if your heart rate is 80 or 180. When I asked the same question to a NP the week before she said to call if my heart rate was 115 to 120. The Cardiologist just put me back on Digox because my heart rate was up to 111 to bring my heart rate down. She said that Digox had nothing to do with bringing your heart rate down. So, do I believe my Cardiologist or this PA? I'm getting mix information and it's frustrating. Getting my okay or not from her regarding my Ablation makes me nervous!!

Ok, she does sound a little vague.

Try this....
Call the office and ask to speak to the office manager. Explain your concerns and your preference not to see the PA. Try to be as specific as you can with your complaints. And absolutely be respectful. (not that I think you wouldn't be but sometimes people get angry and that doesn't help)
The front office can't schedule outside of office policy, but there is someone there who has the authority to...usually the office manager.

That's surprising to hear that you can't get an appointment with the EP who did your ablation. Regardless of how it was paid, the ablation is a very expensive procedure and you should get all of your questions addressed by the EP and PA.

I meet with both and fortunately, the PA can answer all of my questions, but I still meet with EP.

Like Marikay mentioned, try to reach someone with authority who can help you address your concerns.

Normally I would say find an EP who isn't too busy to see patients (especially patients he's knifed on!), but in this case, it sounds like you have specific questions for this particular EP.

I would tend to echo what marikay said as far as trying to make an appointment with the PA.

Doctors and people who work in hospitals and doctor's offices are people just like you or me. When dealing with them, I tend to treat them the same way I do anyone else. Be nice, until it's time to not be nice. At that point, ask yourself whether or not getting angry with those people will possibly improve your situation.

Most of the time you'll benefit more from being kind, but some people just need a fire lit under them.

I have been really "nice" because I like my Cardiologist and EP Doctor,
(even if I can't get an appt to see him, he is an excellent EP) He is in high demand because of the FIRM Ablation procedure. ... has anyone else had one? The success rate is suppose to be 86% for the long term. I'm at the two month mark ... one more month to go to get the okay that it worked or not??

I will take your advice and contact the Office Manager. Sorry for my outburst last night, I was having a bad day.
