Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

The blog cites the culprit as an ingredient called "cyclohexylamine" that is in some hair sprays (not all).
I use Sebastian's "Spritz Forte," and sure enough.. it's in that product as well.
Of course, you can't believe everything you read on the internet.. and I have not been able to find anything further on this other than "chemical poisoning-- and listing "cyclohexylamine" as one of the ingredients in a long list.
So I leave it up to my fellow sleuths on this site. A connection or no? I'm leaning towards "no."
BTW.. when I use hair spray, I always hold my breath when spraying, and I don't breath again until I walk out of the room. But they were saying it can be absorbed through the skin.
I'm still doubting it.. but would like to see if anybody comes up with anything more concrete on this.

A guy who is pretty bald who doesn't need hairspray, sprays his hair so he can look good while "vigorously" playing ping pong. He breaks a sweat "breaking the hairspray hold" and his hair becomes tousled. In desperation, he flings back his hair strands with his "sweaty" palms, while continuing the vigorous ping pong match. He feels faint and the paddle becomes increasingly heavy as does the ping pong ball. He passes out.
Ummmmmmm...... a.... I don't buy this and I keep thinking I wonder if Richard Simmons has afib. I hope not.
