Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I have a date for my ablation Monday April 7. They do the Trans Esophageal Echocardiogram at the same time. A week before I go for blood work and a CTA (a CT Angiography) a scan of my the vessels in my heart and chest.

So guys wish me luck. I'll keep you all up to date.
I hope no more strokes and no more passing out.

Best of luck to you my brother. The next month will fly by for you. The night before? Maybe not, but you have to just have faith that you have made the correct decision, and have faith in your EP. I will say a prayer for you.

There is a calmness that comes after you make such a decision. Now the hard part is the waiting. Try not to "over think" about it in the next few weeks.
