Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Darn!!! I have OA & DDD, I agree..mornings can be tough. You have been an inspiration with all the adversities of your first ablation, You had courage and faith to try another one.
I know you will find a way to make the best of this. We are all cheering for you!!!!
Hugs and Prayers, Carol
Congrats on being a fib free!!! sorry to hear about your other problems.
Hopefully you can find some solution.
Carol, I know what OA is, what is DDD? Sorry to hear about this too. The meds you take are NSAID's but those are tough with anticoagulants.
Just can't win!!!
Hugs
Terry
As a newcomer to the Afib family ... I am glad you have been Afib free for 8 months but sorry that another obstacle (Rheum. Arthritis) has popped up. I believe there are once or twice a year medications that address RA. We are rooting for you ! (hugs) Ken
Speaking of "strong" people, it was Bette Davis that said the quote, marikay.

Sometimes life is so tough!
Hoping you get the good advice and any treatments needed for RA.
Your "can do" attitude will help you deal with this.

I think Dr. Seuss also said that getting old was not for sissies.
Take care Dee, I'm glad to hear that your heart is behaving, but so sorry you are in pain. Take care. Joan

I have a lot of respect for your persistence in dealing what life throws at you in the year or so I have known you on this site. You really researched and moved forward to get your second ablation, even with the fact your afib was persistent, and now you have solved that problem. RA and diabetes can be controlled and I know you will come up with the right answers and do the right things. Congratulate yourself on solving the afib problem as it would have only complicated things. You know all this from your nursing career, but it doesn't hurt to hear it from other people. We were all praying for you and I know you will be okay. I very seldom get personal on this support group as I usually respond to situations by researching, providing information and trying to suggest solutions... but maybe I should provide emotional support more. petey
It was nice to see this side of you as well as the research side.
