Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been here for a while. Have a lot going on with doctor's visits, test, etc.

I am having surgery this coming Thursday the 17th. The doctor is going to remove my kidney with arthroscopic surgery. I will go home the next day. All of my doctors are very optimistic, and my tests have come back good.

As you can imagine, I have been very stressed, and I can't even imagine how I will be the morning of surgery, but it has to be done and I am Blessed with a close and supportive family. My Faith is getting me through.

I so much appreciate all the well wishes, prayers and hugs I have received. Thank you all so much.

Count on my prayers for you as well, for wise and skillful care and that your body will respond and heal very quickly. It's hard to imagine that you can go home so soon, but I'm sure you're glad of it. Bless you!

Oh, Mary Ann....sorry you have to go through this and the stress is so difficult but I will think nothing but good thoughts , and send nothing but healing prayers for a very brief hospital stay and a strong recovery . Stay in touch with us as you are able and let me know if there is anything you need.
