Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
I've always hated meds because it takes my body a while to get used to them. Sorry to hear you're having problems though, I can't help you there because I don't take solatol, but I hope you get it sorted out soon.

Most of us are like you with clean test results, no rhyme or reason as to what kicks it off, some foods like chocolate and anything with processed sugars are triggers for many of us too! Basically any stimulants can kick it off for some and others it is not an issue. Try keeping a journal and you may find patterns that you can control in the future that pertain to you.
The drugs are scary for sure, I have been on many of them and some with really bad results but we are all different and what works for one may not work for anther and vise versa. Xarelto did not agree with me, dizzy, tired and weak, and it got worse every day, was changed to Eliquis and doing much better now.
Hopefully you can work with your doc and get some relief soon. Stay with the anticoagulant for sure! It is a must for us a-fibbers!
Take care and hang in there, lots of great people here to help you thru!
Reading your post has me a bit concerned and is distibing to say the least.Your cardiologist recommended staying off drug treatments and now your EP feels you will fail your second ablation?
Who are these guys and why would you go to them? You deserve much better don't you think......
