Had the 40th Saturday night...it was AWESOME! We had it in a bar on Harford Road in Bawlmer (that is Baltimore for those of you "outsiders"). We looked at the high school year book, saw how everyone looked with shoulder length hair, and then laughed at how much we had changed. Sang the school song, and a few other of the fight songs that we would sing at pep rallies. So good to see the old gang. I had to leave around 930PM, as I am old and had to get up for drill this morning. It wasn't until about 15 minutes before I left that I remembered Petey's posting about how he couldn't wait to go to his high school reunion and discuss anti-coagulants...so I started asking the old men about afib. The first two guys I asked had afib! Both said they just didn't let it bother them. God bless them, and all of you who have that ability.

I had a couple of down days leading up to the reunion...tired, just feeling "yuk," and those "woe is me" thoughts started creeping in. Oh, feeling bad, probably my heart issue. Then I realized driving home I FELT GREAT! So much of this fight is mental. I don't remember having really down days before afib, but I know I just have to concentrate more on getting the down thoughts out of my head. LIFE IS GOOD!

Don't miss your high school reunions...it is such a fun thing to look back at the good old days. How things have changed. We talked about all the technology that we didn't have in the 1970s (we still wrote papers with TYPEWRITERS! How ancient! ) The threat of the draft, the music. But I must say the most fun for me was the singing...maybe that is the military thing. Thanks for the great evening guys!
