Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
My advice is to follow the doctor's advice and eat a balanced diet with fatty fish so you don't have to take supplements. MK7 is a different story. It prevents calcification. petey
Also, I remember, another member (I think it was missed1234), reported that she was taking K2 (MK7) and it did NOT have any effect on her coagulation tests for Coumadin. She was taking K2 based on her doctor recommendation.
Recent research shows that K2 (in natto, eggs, some hard cheeses) does not affect the blood clotting. It is the K1 (in greens), which has to do with clotting of the blood. K2 vitamin is for transferring the calcium to the bones, otherwise the calcium might go to the lining of the arteries and cause calcification/heart disease. So, if you are taking calcium and vitamin D3, you must take K2 so the calcium goes to your bones rather than the arteries and joints (soft tissues in the body). This is pretty new about the K2 versus K1, and most doctors and providers do NOT differentiate the functions between these two vitamins. They assume any K vitamin (K1 or K2) will affect the clotting of the blood.
I take about 35 mg of K2 (MK4) every day. MK4 only stays in the body for 2 hours or so. However, MK7 life in the body is about 24 hours and it is much cheaper since you do not have to take so much of it. But, MK4 is much more potent than MK7.
Here is the K2, MK4 that I take:

Here is another K2, MK4, but not as pure as the one from Thorne:

Here is K2, MK7, derived from natto:

Please read the reviews for them.

I am not a big veggie eater and I think the K7 helps.
I am not sure if you saw this one. In the case you did not and you want to take 45 mcg of K2 (MK7, derived from natto), here is the link to 45 mcg K2 at iherb.com:
