Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
You have atrial fibrillation that comes and goes. And you have a fast heart rate when you are in atrial fibrillation and a slow heart rate when you are not in atrial fibrillation. This is called tachy-brady syndrome.
You had an AV node ablation procedure that destroyed the AV node in your heart.
You have a problem with the natural pacemaker of the heart (AV or SA node).
You take a medicine for atrial fibrillation that slows your heart rate too much.
Headaches that are worse when lying down are generally cluster headaches. They are usually worse on one side of the head.
Headache in the morning is a major flag for sleep apnea.

And don't listen to the pacemaker guy!
Coumadin can be tricky to manage for some people.....have to keep everything consistent, diet, meds, etc. If you are taking norco more often some days that can throw off INR.
Hang in there. Keep us posted.
