Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

So far, learned more about A fib from this support group than from any other source. I'd never even heard of EP doctors before or any of the
procedures mentioned here. Hope to find an EP dr. in our rural area, but might need to look in Santa Rosa, CA. or further south.
Going to find a different cardiologist. I understand that Drs. are not gods , don't know everything, and make mistakes. But I do expect a dr. to be honest and candid.
My heart rate was at 100 this morning with a subtle, racing feeling.
Went ahead and did a moderate 30 min. walking tape. It seemed safe enough as I could stop anytime and rest if I got dizzy.
Soon my heart rate rate went back to the 70's.
I'm grateful that I tolerate cardizem, dixogin, and warfarin.
Really feel for anyone who's had a bad reaction to a med. (as I did with propafenone)
-Sort of feel sorry for my next cardiologist having me as a patient because I've lost trust.

He is in Austin Texas. He WAS with Cleveland Clinic.
I am scheduled to have a cryoablation Oct 12. I had a heat ablation in March, but the AF has returned.

If I can't find an EP in our area (Humboldt County) then Santa Rosa most likely will be the next bet. We have a son who lives in Point Reyes Station--- so are somewhat familiar with Santa Rosa.
The wrist: Does anyone know if certain doctors use it, if they use it with only certain patients (if so, why), whether the success rate is affected, and whether or not it is easier for them to do it through the groin? For exaple, the best guys... like Dr Natale, Cleveland Clinic, Bordeaux France, do they use it?
