Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Gallbladders has got to come out, there is no more procrastinating :-( I'm female, 51 yrs old, and I have afib, HBP, GERD, a slightly enlarged heart (all those years of HBP I guess) and I am terrified!
I was trying to hold out until after the holidays, but really I despise the holidays, so I shouldn't really care. I have a older son and I guess I was thinking that I didn't want him to have a bad holiday experience because of me.
This is a large group so I figured that there must be tons of info and/or opinions out there about surgeries with my pre-existing conditions...what are the chances of a good outcome?

them were done with just two tiny incisions in their stomches.
My SIL had an infected one and even she has a minimal scar. She
also has COPD and afib.
Seems like Drs have really gotten good with this surgery.
