Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
For my input i would say you need to build upper body muscle. ive had asthma since i was young and found the only way to keep it in check is to help yourself.tablets are ok and i do take them but they have there own drawbacks.weight gain and depression in some cases.
I found doing pushups, situps and using a rowing machine have helped keep the weight down and build up my chest as much as possible.
Also try deep breathing and release as much air as possible, fresh air helps if you can find it:)
My asthma is also affected by stress and certain food products ie bread and colourings in food.
hope this helps
