Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
Does anyone take this....my Dr.wants me to take it ..he says it is good for the lungs....but Im concerned because I read it is good for emphysema patients but to be careful for patients with asthma....I have both so im wondering if I should take it....Dr.is on vacation ...cant ask him
Seems like every medication out there has a "watch out if you have asthma" warning...I hope you have been able to talk to your doc (or whoever is covering while he is on vacation). You could also check with any pharmacist -- they are the true medication experts, and could help you decide if the benefits outweigh the risks in your case.
