Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
I hope you get the bug/mice problem fixed ASAP.
I LOVE animals and am so allergic to them and they do not help my asthma at all. I have one poodle X who doesn't bother me at all but I do have a Basset Hound who sheds so much =S
It's hard when you can't control what is going on around you. I take my ventalin every day! And when I go to the hospital for my asthma they say my oxygen levels are pretty good. I know I have to talk to my doctor about allergy shots, and see an asthma specialist!
I pray you get the help you are looking for!
I'm sorry I don't know about the air purifiers.
my asthma is triggered with sinus infections in which i get due to weather change and the weather changes EVERYWHERE.
sometimes i feel like telling people off when they say "you should try to move somewhere else"
,maybe its something indoors?
what a pity you're having such a hard time! i got very ill when i lived in a small old town for a few months. i just rented a room and didn't have much choice as to my accommodation. the gp said my asthma was made worse by the mould which is present everywhere in old buildings!
now i live in a very remote rural area, without any mould or infestations so that is good. however it is very cold and windy so that is now the reason for my asthma attacks!
i am often tempted to think that things will be better if only i could live elsewhere but i have now come to realise that there will probably be an asthma trigger in every environment i live in. my problem is not my environment but my reaction to it and my asthma control!
