I am having breathing problem since 2 months. Went to doctor (not lung specialist) she told me my chest is clear but i could still have asthma she asked me to do PFT test.
I want to know if my chest is clear can i still have asthma.?
My nose is bit blocked from childhood may be that can be a reason.?
I have not used any inhaler till now but i feel breathless a lot.
Doctor has given a nasal spray.
Or will PFT will give her a clear picture.
Please suggest.

I wouldn't rely on a regular primary dr-check with a lung specialist

I did consulted specialist. My pft showed mild improvment after bronchodilator and as chest xray was clear. He told this seems as mild asthma.
Currenlty he as given me montelukast tablet for allergies and one syrup for cough.
i do feel better after medicines but breathing has not improved much.
I feel like my lung are full but still can not breath properly.

asthma doc can give you an inhaler called albuterol. it opens your airways and magically ( if you have asthma) your breathing becomes easier.

This is a bronchodialator.

I also take montelukast. I also have a corticosteroid inhaler, but they usually won't give that to you at first, only if your asthma isn't controlled. I like yoga and low impact exercise to help with asthma. Also, I have allergic asthma so I get allergy shots. Perhaps you have allergies too? That can make it worse, ask your doctor if you can try an over the counter allergy medication such as Zyrtec or Alavert (my two personal favorites).
