Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
I started BREO last week and about an hour after the dose I get a terrible hot rash and have to take benadryl. It will move locations. First day was the left side of my torso, today was my upper ear, scalp and back of my neck. My doctor said to keep taking it (It is working really well) and that he hasnt heard of a rash being a side effect. It is working great but I can't stand this rash I get every single day! Anyone else have this prolem, or am I just "lucky"? Now that I think about it, my stomach is kind of itchy now. I don't want to have to deal with this every day just to be able to breathe!
As someone who often has allergic reactions to medications, I would consider stopping the med or at least getting a second opinion from an Allergist.
Allergic reactions tend to get worse with more exposure, so if you continue with BREO, be aware of your symptoms. I might suggest taking pics of your rashes in case you do decide to get a second opinion.
