Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.
I am on the Spiriva Handihaler, so not the mist, but the active ingredients are exactly the same. I am actually going to ask my Lung Specialist to switch me to the mist because the handihaler malfunctions so often.
I have had no problems with Spiriva and I do find it to be a good addition to my maintenance meds. Spiriva has been around for some time now, and there have been no major reportings of serious side effects or black box labels needed, so I think it's a pretty safe drug to try. The active ingredient is NOT a steroid so you don't risk harm to your throat or getting thrush like you can sometimes get from asthma inhalers that are steroid medications.
Wishing you the best,
Sonny
Its a soft mist inhaler
The meds came out slowly
And you can breath in slower that other mdi
And with just a clinck ,the mist will come out
It has less dry mouth compare to spiriva 18 mcg handihaler
So far i prefer respimat over handihaler
